I have got to stop allowing him to get to me. I was all set to write about something else, and the Senator from Hanoi says something so outrageous that I can't let it pass. He commited treason in 1971 and sullied the reputations of an entire decade of American soldier. Did it cause him to be an outcast? Nope. It fueled his political career. In the 1980s he advocated a unilateral nuclear freeze and told the world that the pro-communist Sandinistas were nice guys. Did his countrymen wake up and decide he was the enemy? Nope, he parlayed his actions into a Senate seat from the People's Republic of Massachusetts. Yes, I'm talking about John Kerry, and the sonofabitch is at it again. Please forgive my profanity.
Yesterday on Face the Nation, I didn't realize that show was still around, Mr. "we can't defeat communism" was discussing his "plan" for Iraq. In the midst of justifying his cut and run approach, Kerry accused American soldiers of "going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children...." I couldn't believe it. Well, for about five seconds I couldn't believe it; then I remembered who it was saying it.
Who could forget the "eloquent" young man speaking before Congress comparing your average American soldier to (J)enghis Khan? When Kerry spoke before Congress after the Winter Soldier farce he made it clear that American atrocities weren't isolated incidents. They were the typical behaviors of American soldiers in a foreign country. He was one of the primary reasons that spitting became a common form of greeting returning GIs.
Now, here he is, supposedly the spokesman for the Democrat party, saying the same crap about today's GIs. This is a man whose life's ambition is to be the Commander in Chief of our armed forces and he STILL believes they are monsters. Worse than that, while we are fighting a war against Islamofascist terrorists, he accuses our own fighting men and women of terrorism.
At some point, doesn't enough have to be enough? At some point, don't we have to develop the gonads to call a traitor a traitor? For 35 years we have allowed this lowlife piece of poodle excrement to make a career by trashing this nation. Even politically correct conservatives are quick to say "I won't question his patriotism." Question it? Hell, I know he's a patriot. Just pick the enemy of the United States and he's on their side without hesitation.
John Kerry is incapable of patriotism where the United States is concerned. Apparently, he learned from his father too well. Richard Kerry was an American diplomat who wrote a book criticizing American foreign policy, especially the idea of American exceptionalism. Not only does John not believe in American exceptionalism, he believes that almost any other nation or group in the world is more moral than we are.
John Kerry keeps commiting treason and the mainstream media lets him get away with it, and the Democrat party either embraces it or ignores it. This man picked up 48% of the vote last November. 48% that were either misinformed or disloyal themselves. I hope they were merely misinformed. I really, really hope that.

What really gets my goat is that you have the senator from Connecticut who actually has been over there multiple times and knows what is going on writing an editorial and the only place you find it is in the WSJ or on the blogs. Then you have this jerk who has lied over and over and over again and he gets a free pass to say whatever he wants on one of the major programs on one of the major networks. There is no justice so far as the MSM is concerned.
I really would like to see the media take a map of the country of Iraq, show the disposition of the US troops there and then justify their reporting of what is going on. When you consider that we have 160K troops there and we have 25K in the province where Iraq meets Syria and even if we have another 25K in Baghdad, those are the only areas where we are finding problems today. That leaves us with over 100K troops over there in the rest of the country. Does the media think that we believe that this 100K troops are just sitting there doing nothing all day long? Why the hell can't we get news reports on what this other groups of troops is doing and how they are interacting with the Iraqis. If we are having so many problems with the Iraqis wanting us out, then either we should pull this 100K troops out or we should find out what they are doing.
PS I know they are building schools, teaching civics to the Iraqis, building playgrounds, clean water supplies, electrical supplies, homes, medical facilities, teaching Iraqis health procedures. We should be hearing this from our media. In fact we should be demanding that we hear this from our media. Instead they feed us crap from this Beeyotch and his followers.

What to do? He's lied. He's even said he took part in Vietnam atrocities for no reason than it gave credence to one of the most dastardly lies ever spoken, yet he's seen as a war idol even after he admitted he lied. Add the other atrocious things you mention and one must wonder if he has powerful, well-heeled, politically persuasive friends. How does one fight this.
The Swift Boaters did. So can we. You're doing your part. The rest of us need to get off our duff, though I draw the line at moving to Massachusetts in order to vote against him. However, to the best of my knowledge there is no law that says we can't sent money to the Republican Massachusetts Senate Committee. I must check that out.
It is hard to believe that Kerry (and a full cadre of Democrats) have descended so low. Their comments are so insipid and craven that most of us are in utter disbelief and too often just ignore them. Yesterday, the comments of DNC Chairman Howard Dean emphasized the incredible depravity of Kerry and other Democratic Party figures when he opined that America will never prevail in Iraq, that all our goals are hopeless and ill fated. Like Kerry, Dean is fully intent on defeat and humiliation for his own country.
Some speak of the need to debate the issues, and thus praise Kerry and Dean for making "provacative" comments. I disagree. Kerry and Dean do not raise the level of discussion or add any substance to it. Their comments are insanely ignorant and reveal a socipathy, not legitimate thought or ideas. They are beyond the political fringes and are deeply troubled human beings.
Only a year ago, after intense, broad ranging and seemingly never ending debate, the nation re-elected President Bush. He was the first candidate in over 25 years to achieve a majority of the electorate. The President's party picked up legistative seats. Kerry, his ideas and his person were defeated soundly. He and his traitorous Democrat left have made every effort to delegitimize our national election and to make the false claim that a majority supports their position. We saw this in 1972. Democrats claimed that Americans opposed the war in Vietnam and wanted a political change. Richard Nixon defeated the Democrat and received more than 62% of the national vote!
No matter what name comes up as a Democrat leader for the future, we all must recognize that this political party can never agains be trusted with defending Americas national security interests.
What's really terrible is that those Dems in Congress (and even some Reps) can embrace Kerry and yes, Murtha, no matter their service to this country, and turn a blind eye to other Dems like Joe Lieberman, who comes back with heartening news of positive troop progress, as well as direct quotes from soldiers as to why we should stay the course in Iraq.
It's a damned shame.
The only way to shove their behavior back down their throats is Republican leaders must constantly quote and complain publicly about Kerry and Dean's remarks. A one time blurb by Hastert aint gonna cut it.
